Siri Lindley is a two-time world champion triathlete, renowned coach, motivational speaker, author, and cancer survivor whose life story has inspired athletes and audiences around the world. Born in Greenwich, Connecticut, she attended Brown University, where she became the only athlete in the school's history to earn varsity letters in three sports during the same year: field hockey, ice hockey, and lacrosse. After graduating with a degree in psychology, Lindley discovered triathlon despite having little swimming experience and began pursuing the sport while working long hours at a YMCA in Massachusetts.
Through relentless determination and an unwavering belief in possibility, Lindley rose from finishing near the back of the field in her early races to becoming one of the most dominant athletes in the sport. In 2001, she won six consecutive World Cup races and captured the ITU World Championship title, finishing the season ranked as the number one female triathlete in the world. She successfully defended her World Cup series title in 2002 before retiring from competition at the height of her career to pursue her true passion: helping others achieve their potential. Her extraordinary contributions to the sport were recognized with induction into the World Triathlon Hall of Fame.
Following her competitive career, Lindley became one of the most respected coaches in endurance sports, guiding Olympic medalists and multiple Ironman World Champions, including athletes such as Mirinda Carfrae and Leanda Cave. Known for her holistic coaching philosophy centered on gratitude, resilience, and personal growth, she has also authored books including Surfacing and Finding a Way, sharing the mindset principles that helped shape both her athletic success and personal transformation.
Beyond sport, Lindley is a passionate advocate for healing, personal growth, and animal welfare. In 2019, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and given less than a five percent chance of survival, yet she approached the challenge with the same determination that defined her athletic career.
After overcoming cancer, she continued her mission of helping others through speaking engagements, coaching, and her nonprofit organization, Believe Ranch & Rescue, which rescues horses and provides equine-assisted healing experiences for individuals facing trauma, grief, and adversity. Today, Lindley is widely recognized not only for her championships, but for her commitment to helping others find courage, purpose, and joy in the face of life's greatest challenges.
