Born and raised in small-town Mansfield, Connecticut, Alexa Curtis knew from a young age that she didn’t fit the traditional mold. At just 12 years old, after struggling with bullying, she started a fashion blog called A Life in the Fashion Lane as an outlet to share her experiences around body image, mental health, and the challenges teens face.
As Alexa evolved, so did her platform, which became Life Unfiltered with Alexa Curtis, a lifestyle website and podcast for teens and parents. Through cold-pitching brands, she landed partnerships with companies including British Airways and T-Mobile.
In 2018, Alexa founded the Be Fearless Summit, which has been hosted at universities including UConn, Vanderbilt, Central Connecticut State University, and UC Berkeley. She has spoken at colleges and high schools across the country about confidence, mental health, and social media, and even shared the stage with Amal Clooney and Serena Williams.
Alexa later became the host of her own Radio Disney show, Fearless Every Day with Alexa Curtis, where she interviewed guests about overcoming challenges and pursuing their dreams.
Today, Alexa is an entrepreneur, content creator, matchmaker, and founder of The Love List, New England’s #1 matchmaking company. She also recently founded Chief Swag Officer, a customized microphone and media essentials company.
